RADICAL MODERNISM

Drawing inspiration from the principles outlined in Dan Friedman’s Radical Modernism, I joined fellow students from the University of Connecticut in designing unique signatures influenced by Friedman’s iconic typographic style. My approach focused on using repetition to emphasize key words, aiming to create a rhythmic, almost musical quality. When read aloud, the result transforms into a
mantra-like experience.

By blending form and function, I sought to convey both meaning and emotion through the arrangement of text. It was a creative exploration that deepened my appreciation for how design can shape the way we perceive and interact with words.
