LOVE YOUR LOCAL LIBRA

A RISO project that is near and dear to my heart, Love Your Local Libra began as a typical guide to one of the best astrological signs of the zodiac. Originally researching traditional traits of the Libra to create something more general, I decided to switch directions a couple of days into the process when I realized I had an expert on the Libra experience—myself. Instead of crafting a classic horoscope, this guide became an ultra-specific take on one particular Libra: me. That’s why the emphasis is on the local.

This shift allowed the project to become more personal and playful, blending humor and self-reflection with the aesthetics of RISO printing. It became less about adhering to universal traits and more about celebrating individuality through a vibrant, tactile medium. By embracing the quirks of my own personality, the guide took on a charm and authenticity that wouldn’t have been possible with a more
conventional approach.
